評論指出，南海仲裁案本是一場「政治鬧劇」，仲裁庭本身是違背國際法而建的「草台班子」，「中國不會把自己的領土主權和海洋權益交付這樣一個沒有任何合法性的仲裁庭品頭論足」。
北京環球網則刊登「中國堅如磐石，任憑海浪臭雞蛋撞上來」的社評，指「仲裁結果本身是『一張廢紙』，但如果有人藉仲裁興風作浪，就將構成現實挑戰，中國方面絕不會坐視不理，強咽苦果。」 1050712
